1. What is SMS?
SMS is the short form of Short Message Service. This is the way to send short text
messages directly to mobile phones. A SMS message has a maximum length of 160 characters.
2. What are the advantages of your SMS service?
We provide methods to send SMS (messaging) one by one or in bulk. Low Per Message
Cost, Zero up front cost and Fast Delivery are some of the key advantages of our
SMS Service.
3. Is there a limit to how many numbers I can send at one time
You should try and limit the number of comma separated mobile numbers to approximately
100.
4. What is the maximum length of an SMS message?
Standard SMS messages may be up to 160 characters long
5. Do you add any text to my messages?
No, we do not add any text to your messages. Some companies add some text for advertising
their company; this also occupies some characters in the 160 character limit.
6. How long does message delivery take?
The average delivery time through our SMS Gateways is around 5 seconds
7. How can I make a payment for SMS credit?
The payment can be made trough any of the available payment options like Credit
Card, Fund Transfer or by Cheque/DD. Click Here for more details.
8. How long does it take before credits bought are added to my account?
Bought credits will get added to your account within 24hours if you made the payment
through credit card or fund transfer. The credits for which the payment is done
through Cheque / Demand Draft will get added to your account once we have received
payment in our Bank accounts.
9. I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?
You can retrieve your password by clicking on the Forget password option in the
Login page. The passwords will be reset and you will receive the new password on
your registered mobile number and email id.
10. Do you charge any monthly charges or start up fees?
No. It is FREE to register and you only need to pay for sms credits.
11. Is there a minimum monthly purchase required?
No, there are no minimum monthly charges. Simply purchase credits whenever you need
more.
12. What will happen if I do not use my sms credits.
We have SMS credits with limited and unlimited validities. You will not be able
to use the sms credits after your validity is expired in a limited sms credit validity
plan. SMS credits purchased with unlimited validity plan can be used at any time.
13. Do I get notified when my credits are low?
Yes, you will automatically receive a sms / email alert when the sms credits are
low.
14. How do I manage my contacts/phonebook?
You can manage your contacts by adding them one by one or by uploading your contacts
File.
15. How do I Upload Contacts File (CSV Format)?
• Open a new file in notepad or any text editor on your system.
• Enter the contact details in the following format :
First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, Email Address
Sample Data:
John, Paul, 9811111111, john.paul@abc.com
Kevin, Sam, 9800000000, Kevin.sam@abc.com
• Save the file in your system with .csv extenstion. (e.g. mycontacts.csv)
• Click the browse button of Contacts File (CSV Format) field and select the file,
which you have created, and then click the Upload button.
16. What is an SMS Template?
You can create message templates to save your typing time. You can add a template
by using "Add Template" feature of the Web based Control Panel or Excel Plugin Software.
17. How do I view my sent messages?
Log in to the web based control panel and go to “Sent Messages” tab. All the Sent
SMS can be viewed here.
18. Which all location can Send-BulkSMS.com deliver the SMS?
We have exclusive SMS Gateway services to deliver messages to service providers
in India. At present we do not deliver messages outside India.
19. Will the numbers I send to be used by Send-BulkSMS.com or any third-parties?
All the numbers and messages send are treated severely confidence. We never use
them or share the information with other companies.

21. What is a Sender-Id?
The sender-id is the originating number (or alpha string) that appears on the recipients
phone. A sender-id is a string of up to 11 characters. First two characters represents the Mobile Operator's network and the location followed by an hyphen(-). You can use remaining 8 characters of the sender-id. It could be
your company name or brand name. For example, if your company name is BulkSMS then the sender-id can be like TA-BulkSMS.
22. Maximum character length of sender id
A sender-id is a string of up to 11 characters. As per TRAI regulation maximum sender
id length is 8 characters. Remaining 3 characters are used to specify the service
provider and location.
23. How do we add new sender id?
For adding new sender id you need to send us an email along with your user name
we will add your required sender id within 2 hrs time.
24. Do you offer technical Support?
Yes, technical support is available through email and phone. We have technical staff
available 24 Hours a day. You can raise a support ticket to notify a problem with
our tech support team.
25. How will I know if the messages are delivered?
It's important to regularly maintain your contact list to ensure that you are not
sending messages to invalid numbers. We provide you with real time delivery reports
with details of message sent and their delivery status.
26. Can I freely send SMS to anybody?
No, it is recommended to have the recipient’s consent to send messages to them.
They should identify who is sending the message. You should provide a functional
unsubscribe facility for the target recipients.
27. Can I send messages anonymously?
No, you should not send messages anonymously. Recipients should identify who is
sending the message
28. What is Excel Plugin Software?
Excel Plugin Software is the component which can be integrated with MS Excel. This
is the easiest way to send out bulk SMS messages from your desktop. Click Here

29. Why Excel Plugin software toolbar removed from my system?
Excel Plugin Software can be disappeared when there is virus on your system; please
ensure your system is virus free.
30. Why the messages are not delivering?
There can be various reasons for this.
• You might be sending the messages to a number listed in NDNC registry.
• The mobile is in a not reachable place with low or no network signal.
• There may be a handset problem. Put your mobile SIM card in another handset and
try.
31. What is NDNC registry?
NDNC (National Do Not Call) Registry is a registry of mobile numbers which should
be excluded from telemarketing calls. We provide options to refer NDNC registry
to prevent sending messages to these mobile numbers.
32. What is developer API?
Developer API (Application Programming Interface) is a medium which provides the
options to request and execute the SMS functionalities. Our HTTP based API extends
our sms functionalities by allowing you to integrate the sms features with your
Web and Desktop applications.
